The Sweetest Thing's Sunday Is Knowing It's Going To Be Ok!

Miller, you will always be my Super Hero! I'm so very proud of you and the super man you've grown into!

It really is going to be ok! I know that now! It sure has been hard leading up to this point, but now I feel better!

Best friends from birth, I couldn't be any happier that Miller is living with Roy their first year of college!

I wish they were ALL together but beggar's can't be chooser's in this case!

The friendships they've all shared over the years just speaks for itself!

You've got to love a group of boys that can stay this close throughout all of elementary, jr high and high school! I'm praying it will get even better in college!

Just look at them! Even as Freshmen in High School they were cute….and funny!

They make me laugh and they make me proud….as a mama!

I really couldn't be happier that Sharon and I have our two sons living together at Auburn!

And they haven't lost any of their irresistible charm! LOL!

I could do without the Budweiser sign…but I'm learning to live a little bit more laid back…I'm actually dreading hearing what Mitch has to say about this! In a million years I would NEVER have allowed him to have this hanging!

However, all of the parents had quite the fun hanging it and it really was a sight to behold once the light was turned on and it was GLARING at us!!

Truth be told, I should've been a bit concerned about the Wild Boar's Head mounted above it! ( i may not buy boar's head turkey for a while now!)

Anyway, I love this group of boys and I anticipate GREAT things from them as God works in and through them! Before we left, Kim had the 'where with all' to get us all together and pray for the boys and for our families as a whole…it was SWEET! It just doesn't get much better than this….

Hope you've had a wonderful, sweet weekend! I look forward to some rest this week!

We left them a little bit of food to get them by for the next few days until they get on their feet so to speak! One of things we left were these yummy
 Cheese Cake Brownies!

Makes 16 2-inch square, thick brownies
Brownie batter
1 stick (1/2 cup or 4 ounces) unsalted butter, cut into pieces
3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
Cheesecake batter
8 ounces cream cheese, well softened
1/3 cup sugar
1 large egg yolk
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Plus
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Make brownie batter: Put oven rack in middle position and preheat oven to 350°F. Butter an 8-inch square baking pan. Heat butter and chocolate in a 3-quart heavy saucepan — though I did mine double-boiler style, placing the mixing bowl I was using over simmering water, thereby creating one less dirty dish and melting the chocolate more gently — over moderately low heat, whisking occasionally, just until melted. Remove from heat and whisk in sugar, eggs, vanilla, and a pinch of salt until well combined. Whisk in flour until just combined and spread in baking pan.
Make cheesecake batter: Whisk together cheesecake batter ingredients in a small bowl until smooth. Dollop over brownie batter, then swirl in with a knife or spatula.
[I actually like using a butter knife because the tip of it is round enough that you can use it to fold bits of the brownie batter over the cheesecake batter for a more visibly marbled effect. Try it!]
Sprinkle chocolate chips over cheesecake/brownie batter swirl. Although it might be more logical to just mix them into the cheesecake batter (and feel free to do this, it will have no ill-effect) I thought it might interrupt the swirl-ability of it.
Bake brownies: Bake until edges are slightly puffed and center is just set, about 35 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Slicing tip: I like to chill my brownies until they’re almost frozen before cutting them. It makes it much easier to get a clean slice. I also like to eat my brownies super-cold, but that’s just personal taste.
