Tomorrow is Sunday.....

tomorrow is Sunday....the Lord's Day!  the day that we worship!

tonight it's Saturday...and I'm waiting...wanting to hear from Miller that all is ok...that they had fun and that they are safe. Mainly, that they are safe! I know this time next year I will not always be able to know exactly when and where he is....or what he is doing and with whom....but for now...I can!
I can also wait "patiently" if I just will!!!
or can I?...well, if you know me well at all....then I don't want your TRUE answer! I want you to tell me what I need to hear...wait patiently, Carolyn! Wait patiently for Miller, wait patiently for your clothes to finish drying, wait patiently for "whatever" it is that I'm waiting on at the moment!  But most of all....WAIT PATIENTLY FOR THE LORD!!!

Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.

Do you realize that if we truly did "wait patiently" on the Lord just how much time we would save? How many wrinkles and frown lines we WOULDN"T have?! How many more meaningful moments we would have in our lives?! It's rather scary if you get right down to it! I bet our years would be measured sort of like dog years and instead of being 47....without worrying...and with really trusting in the Lord... I would be 27!!!
OK...that might be a BIG stretch! But you get my drift here!!!  Waiting....it's really hard for me!  I bet it's really hard for you as well!  We might struggle in different areas but in reality it's all the same! It all boils down to trust!
 I'm so thankful for all that I have learned as a parent...I'm so thankful for all of the times I had to trust in the Lord and not in my own abilities....and I certainly just want to learn from them and grow...even it means more waiting!

Proverbs 3:5-6

 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
   and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
   and he will make your paths straight.
